Need to reduce body weight
The most frequently reported strategies to dehydrate involved racing or training with wraps and plastic bags under the kimono and total or partial restriction of fluid intake. Rapid weight reduction
Since most studies of rapid weight reduction was taken into U.S. fighters wrestling, more research on the magnitude of this problem among Brazilian judokas are necessary in order to have adequate scientific basis justifying the correctness of such conduct practices.

Sports performance
Some athletes reported decrease 22.7 kg, while others reported reduce weight about 60 times in a season. To do so, these athletes use a variety of procedures that can hurt performance as much health from 1.3 to 8 . Among the most used strategies for decreasing weight are: severe food restriction, performing intense exercise, and dehydration - achieved by restricting fluid intake, the use of saunas, and for training in hot environments with or without clothes, plastic and rubber 1,2,9,10 . Some reports indicate that by induced vomiting and intake of laxatives and diuretics are adopted in an attempt to reach the weight of the category.
